BREEDING PHILOSOPHY

Al'Nair believes in the soundness of structure, as well as excellent temperaments. We also believe in producing quality Aussies for both showing, be it conformation, agility, herding, or obedience, and as a best friend and companion. We have extremely high standards for improving the breed both in and out of the show ring.

Al'Nair plans each litter with extreme caution and care looking at a combination of quality, structure, type, temperament, CHAMPIONS, and the bloodlines of each dam and sire. All dogs used in our breeding program have their hips cleared through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA); and their eyes cleared by a certified ophthalmologist (CERF). Many of the dogs used in our breeding program are CHIC Certified. This certification is issued by the Canine Health Institute which includes an OFA normal reading on Hips and Elbows as well as normal CERF's. Al'Nair breeds on a limited basis, but each litter is of highest quality possible.

We pride ourselves on raising highly socialized puppies with excellent temperaments. Our puppies are raised in the house with hours of daily people time. They have been exposed to many new things and all types of household noises prior to leaving for their new homes. They are vaccinated and wormed prior to leaving. Our puppies come with an appropriate set of AKC & ASCA registration papers, a warantee, and a complete health record. Owning an Al'Nair puppy is something to be proud of; we are proud to have produced it.

What type of puppy are you looking for?

Al'Nair Performance or Companion Puppies: If you are looking for a general companion or for a versatile dog in which to do agility, obedience, herding or other events then you are looking for one of our pet/performance puppies. They are sold with limited registration and are required to be spayed or neutered.

Al'Nair Show Puppies: If you are interested in breeding or are a conformation enthusiast then a show puppy is what you need. Our show/breeding puppies are sold with full registration.*

(*We do not endorse the overpopulation of the breed and will only sell show/breeding animals to serious show homes.)

We do screen all homes very thoroughly, as we are simply trying to find the best match in one of our puppies for your home. We stand behind everything that we produce and will take back a puppy or adult should it not fit into your home well. We do, however, recommend that you research the breed thoroughly before buying; Aussies are not for everyone. See our Links page for more information on the breed.
